By taking these classes you will increase certainly increase your fitness. You will also gain a better balance and keep your bones strong. Other benefits include improved confidence, a reduction in stress and the effects of socialising with others.
You don’t need to be a body builder to use weights. These exercises will increase your bone density or minimise its deterioration as you get older. Simple exercises will help you maintain muscle mass which deteriorates as you age.
If you don’t feel exercise machines or aerobic classes are for you why not try yoga? Gentle stretching and relaxation techniques will keep the inside of your body fit. You will also keep it supple and lower your blood pressure.
Cardio vascular machines
Treadmills, upright bikes, cross trainers, steppers and rowing machines increase your heart rate as you work. You should start at a low level and build up over time. Depending on the type of equipment used, you will exercise various parts of your body. Remember to change your routine regularly to gain maximum benefit.
